Tenebrae takes its name from the word for “darkness” or “shadow,” and reflects that quiet, intimate atmosphere. It opens with a vivid burst of bergamot and elemi, lifted by a light touch of smoky incense that adds contrast right from the start. As it develops, frankincense moves forward, deepening the composition into a smooth, resinous core. In the drydown, soft musk and warm, smoldering resins settle in, echoing the glow of candles in a darkened room. Tenebrae moves from light into shadow, balancing brightness with depth and leaving a calm, woody warmth on the skin.
